The 11th edition of the AdaByron contest will be held in Madrid on July 4 and 5, 2025. Following a series of regional rounds organized during the first months of the year, the finals will take place this week at the Faculty of Computer Science of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
AdaByron is a programming competition promoted by various universities across Spain. This year, a total of 239 teams from 16 autonomous communities registered for the contest. Of those, 42 teams representing 20 universities have qualified for the final phase.
Once again, IMDEA Software will serve as a platinum sponsor of the event. Through this sponsorship, the institute reaffirms its commitment to initiatives that promote STEM vocations among young people and encourage collaborative learning of key tools in the tech sector, such as programming languages.
During the welcome session on Friday, Antonio Fernández, Deputy Director of IMDEA Software, will give a presentation about the institute. He will encourage participants to consider pursuing a research career in software, a field that has gained significant relevance in recent years and offers numerous areas yet to be explored.
The opening session, the competition, and the awards ceremony will be streamed live on the contest’s official YouTube channel.
