Manuel Carro, Director of IMDEA Software, participated together with Pablo Serrano, Deputy Director of IMDEA Networks, in the opening conference of the Tech-Hub 6G meeting, held this Wednesday, November 12, at the School of Telecommunications Engineering in Vallecas.
During his talk, Manuel Carro reviewed the origins and trajectory of the IMDEA Institutes, highlighting their key role in scientific and technological innovation in the Madrid region.
In his speech, he emphasized the entrepreneurial and international character of the IMDEA research centers, which were created as a bold and pioneering proposal to drive scientific excellence and the transfer of knowledge to Madrid’s productive sector.
The event as a whole aimed to showcase and connect the technological capabilities of companies, SMEs, organizations, and research groups in the Madrid region involved in developing future 6G communication systems and services.
The program included a plenary session with four invited talks and two discussion panels, as well as a permanent exhibition of projects and technologies open throughout the entire day.
This initiative is part of the RISE-UPM project, co-funded by the Community of Madrid, which aims to promote technological innovation and collaboration among the various stakeholders in the regional ecosystem.
