Intern in safe and verified control of cyber-physical systems

Applications are invited to apply for one intern position at the IMDEA Software Institute, Madrid, Spain.

The selected candidate will work with Kaushik Mallik.

Most modern automated machines, like self-driving cars, are controlled and monitored via software, and the correct behavior of the software components is critical in ensuring the safety and reliability of these systems. I am looking for one motivated intern who will work on the algorithmic developments for the safe and verified control of cyber-physical systems under uncertainties. The task will involve theoretical development of algorithms and running simulations using Python.

Who should apply?

Candidates who are at either bachelor’s or master’s level in CS are welcome to apply. Prior backgrounds in algorithms and AI/ML will be appreciated.

Working at IMDEA Software

The position is based in Madrid, Spain, where the IMDEA Software Institute is situated. Salaries are internationally competitive and include attractive conditions such as access to an excellent public healthcare system. The working language at the institute is English. Knowledge of Spanish is not required.
