Candidates are invited to apply for an internship at the IMDEA Software Institute in Madrid, Spain, under the supervision of Dr. Srdjan Matic and Dr. Juan Caballero.
Selected candidates will work on the measurement and analysis of privacy issues and modern tracking techniques on web browsers. The internship results could be part of an academic publication and/or form the basis of a Master’s or Bachelor’s thesis.
The research topic of the internship can be either the above topic or a new research direction if the candidate already has a specific idea for his thesis. Candidates that excel may be offered a PhD position.
Candidates should have an excellent MSc or BSc degree in computer science or a related discipline, or be in the process of obtaining one.
Candidates should have an interest in Web security and large-scale measurements, and a strong commitment to research.
Experience with linux, web applications, python programming and tool building skills are required. Good command of English both spoken and written is required.

The ideal duration of the position is six months. The tentative starting period is September 15th, 2024, with some flexibility.
