The IMDEA Software Institute offers a PhD position in the area of security and privacy in blockchain. The successful candidate will work on the design, analysis, and implementation of cryptographic protocols for applications that require multiple transactions across multiple blockchains.
Applicants should have finished (or be close to finishing) a master’s degree in Computer Science. Experience in cryptography and blockchain is highly valued.
The positions are based in Madrid, Spain, where the IMDEA Software Institute is situated. Salaries are internationally competitive and include attractive conditions such as access to an excellent public healthcare system. The working language at the institute is English. Knowledge of Spanish is not required.
The position is intended to last for the duration of the doctoral studies, which is usually four years. The preferred starting date is October 1st, 2025.
