Research Internship in Security of Agentic Systems

Applications are invited for a research internship at the IMDEA Software Institute, located in Madrid (Spain).

Selected candidates will work under the supervision of Dr. Marco Guarnieri and Dr. Thaleia Dimitra Doudali.

The internship will focus on the security of agentic systems. The specific topic of the research will be determined based on the common interests of the candidate and the supervisor.

Who should apply?

Ideal candidates should be final year bachelor/master students in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Mathematics with an interest in the aforementioned research topic.

Experience in the following areas is a plus:

Solid programming skills will be highly valued. The position requires good teamwork and communication skills, including excellent spoken and written English.

Dates

The internship duration is intended to be for 6 months. The ideal starting date is May 1st, 2026.

Deadline for applications is February 20th, 2026. Review of applications will begin immediately, and continue until the positions are filled.
