Research Internship in Microarchitectural Security

Applications are invited for a research internship at the IMDEA Software Institute, located in Madrid (Spain).

Selected candidates will work under the supervision of Dr. Marco Guarnieri.

The internship will focus on the development of example-based synthesis approaches for the construction of program-level models of speculative leaks.

Who should apply?

Ideal candidates should be final year bachelor/master students in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Mathematics with an interest in the aforementioned research topic.

Experience in the following areas is a plus:

Solid programming skills will be highly valued. The position requires good teamwork and communication skills, including excellent spoken and written English.

Dates

The internship duration is intended to be for 6 months. The ideal starting date is March 1st, 2026.

Deadline for applications is February 20th, 2026. Review of applications will begin immediately, and continue until the positions are filled.
