Last week, IMDEA Software took part in two key events within Spain’s technology ecosystem: the SATELEC fair and the Transfiere Forum. Each event served a different but complementary purpose. On the one hand, the institute connected with students interested in software research; on the other, it shared some of the projects currently being developed at the institute.
The first stop was the SATELEC fair, held at the School of Telecommunications Engineering of the Technical University of Madrid. The IMDEA Software team attended on February 24, where they had the opportunity to speak with students interested in learning more about the institute’s work and the opportunities it offers to start a research career. During the event, attendees were able to learn about internships, PhD positions, technical positions within REDIMadrid, and academic collaborations. They also had the chance to speak directly with researchers from the institute and ask questions about what a researcher’s daily life is like.
At the same time, IMDEA Software also participated in the Transfiere Forum, held in Málaga from February 24 to 26. This event, considered one of the main gatherings dedicated to innovation and knowledge transfer in Spain, provided an opportunity for the institute to present some of its research projects and share its work with companies, institutions, and other research centers. During the forum, IMDEA Software was present at the Community of Madrid stand together with the other IMDEA institutes, showcasing part of the research carried out at the institute and exploring new opportunities for collaboration within the technological and business ecosystem.
