Applications are invited to apply for a PhD position in malware defenses at the IMDEA Software Institute, Madrid, Spain. Selected candidates will work with Dr. Juan Caballero on developing novel defenses agains malware. The research may cover different malware-related problems such as malware detection, family classification, attribution, APTs, and malware infrastructure analysis.
Ideal candidates have earned (or are in their last year of) a Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, have a strong commitment to research, enjoy coding, and have some experience and interest in at least one of the following: computer security, program analysis, machine learning.
Good programming and tool building skills are required. Good command of English both spoken and written is also required.
