Applications are invited to apply for a post-doctoral researcher position at the IMDEA Software Institute, Madrid, Spain under the supervision of Dr. Juan Caballero. The applicant will develop novel techniques for identifying and analyzing abuse in blockchains, and digital provenance systems.

Candidates should have completed a PhD in Computer Science or a related discipline. Candidates should be have a strong research publication record at the intersection of cybersecurity and blockchains, with demonstrated experience in abuse detection and analysis techniques for popular blockchains. Python programming and tool building skills are required. Good command of English both spoken and written is required.
The position is based in Madrid, Spain, where the IMDEA Software Institute is located. The institute boast one of the top computer security groups in Europe. The institute provides for travel expenses and an internationally competitive stipend. The working language at the institute is English.
The ideal duration of the position is 7 months. The tentative starting period is March 1, 2025, with flexibility.
