Internship in Gradual Verification and Green Computing

Applications are invited for an internship at the IMDEA Software Institute, Madrid, Spain. The selected candidate(s) will work under the supervision of Manuel Hermenegildo, Pedro López, and José Francisco Morales.

Selected candidates will work with other team members on gradual verification and optimization of programs using static analysis based on abstract interpretation, and on its application to cost-efficient computing in terms of various resources, such as energy (as in green computing), gas (as in blockchain platforms), etc.

Who should apply?

Applicants should be BSc or Master’s students in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Mathematics close to finishing their degree. Solid programming skills will be highly valued. The position requires good teamwork and communication skills, including excellent spoken and written English. Familiarity with any of the following areas will also be a plus:

The working language at the institute is English. Knowledge of Spanish is not required.

Dates

The internship duration and starting dates are flexible, and will be agreed on with the candidate.
