HR Technician (Human Resources)
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HR Technician to manage the complete employee lifecycle and ensure strict compliance with labor regulations. The successful candidate will be a key support point in payroll processes, document management, and internal legal advice.
Key Responsibilities
- Payroll and Social Security: Directly assist in the monthly payroll preparation and manage social security procedures (affiliations, registrations, and terminations/discharges) for institution staff.
- Employee Lifecycle and Hiring: Prepare complete documentation management for hiring (Onboarding) and related authorizations, keeping personnel records up-to-date throughout their entire lifecycle (Offboarding included).
- Regulatory and Legal Compliance: Offer support in legal regulations and advice on local labor laws, including the Workers’ Statute (Estatuto de los Trabajadores) and applicable collective agreements. The application of the Science Law (Ley de la Ciencia) in institutional management is required, although no prior knowledge of this law is mandatory for the candidate.
- Internal Relations: Act as a Liaison for HR matters, especially with researchers, providing daily guidance on HR processes.
- Analysis and Data: Handle the processing and consolidation of complex data for the preparation of compliance and payroll reports, making intensive use of Advanced Excel and analytical tools such as Power Query.
Requirements
- University degree in Labor Relations, Law, Business Administration, or similar.
- Demonstrable experience in HR functions, particularly in payroll and social security.
- Knowledge and management of basic labor legislation (Workers’ Statute and Collective Agreements).
- Proficiency in Advanced Excel and data analysis tools will be highly valued.
- Fluent communication skills. High/competent English level is necessary for interaction with staff and researchers.
