Postdoc in cryptography

The IMDEA Software Institute invites applications for a postdoctoral position in the area of Cryptography.

The successful candidate will work on the analysis and design of provably-secure cryptographic protocols. Topics of particular interest for this position include: zero-knowledge proofs (and zkSNARKs more specifically), blockchains and decentralized systems.

Who should apply?

Applicants should have already completed, or be close to completing, a PhD in computer science, mathematics, or a related discipline. Applicants should have solid expertise in cryptography and an excellent research track record demonstrated by publications at major cryptography/security venues. Programming experience will be also highly valued.

Working at IMDEA Software

The position is based in Madrid, Spain, where the IMDEA Software Institute is situated. The institute provides for travel expenses and an internationally competitive stipend. The working language at the institute is English.

Dates

The starting date is flexible, ideally at the beginning of 2020.
