Research Internship in Analysis and Verification of Energy Consumption

Applications are invited for a research intern position at the IMDEA Software Institute, Madrid, Spain.

The selected candidates will work under the supervision of Manuel Hermenegildo, Manuel Carro, Pedro López, José Francisco Morales.

The specific topic of the research will be determined based on the common interests of the candidate and the supervisor(s), within the area of development of tools for static or combined static/dynamic analysis and verification of energy consumption of programs.

Intern candidates should be completing an MSc or BSc degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related discipline, with an interest in the above areas, and a strong commitment to research. Solid background in logic, theoretical computer science, mathematics and formal methods will be highly valued, as well as proven programming skills. Good teamwork and communication skills, including excellent spoken and written English are also required.

The position is based in Madrid, Spain where the IMDEA Software Institute is located. Salaries are internationally competitive and include attractive conditions such as access to an excellent public healthcare system. The working language at the institute is English. Knowledge of Spanish is not required.

Dates

The internship duration is intended to be for 6 months, although other arrangements can be made. The ideal starting period is Summer 2020.
