Applications are invited to apply for a 6 months internship at the IMDEA Software Institute, Madrid, Spain under the supervision of Prof. Alessandra Gorla
The goal of the internship is to explore software engineering research topics falling in one of these two areas:
Ideal candidates should have interest in one of the aforementioned research areas. Experience in the following areas is a plus: Program analysis and verification, natural language processing, machine learning.
This internship could be part of an academic publication and/or form the basis of a Master’s thesis. The specific goal of the internship will be discussed with the candidate according to common interests.
Candidates should have an excellent MSc or BSc degree in computer science or a related discipline, with an interest in software engineering and specifically on software testing and analysis or mobile applications, and a strong commitment to research. Proven top programming and automation skills are required. Good teamwork and communication skills, including excellent spoken and written English are also required.
The position is based in Madrid, Spain, where the IMDEA Software Institute is situated. The institute provides for travel expenses and an internationally competitive stipend. The working language at the institute is English.
The duration of the position is for 6 months, and could be extended. The ideal starting period is September 2020.
