PhD student in fault-tolerant computing over unreliable channels

Applications are invited for a PhD student position at the IMDEA Software Institute in Madrid, Spain. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Alexey Gotsman on the developing distributed protocols for fault-tolerant computing in the presence of network failures.

Who should apply?

Candidates should have a strong background in computer science, with particular expertise in distributed computing theory.

Duration

The positions are intended to last for the duration of the doctoral studies, which is usually four years.

Working at IMDEA Software

The position is based in Madrid, Spain, where the IMDEA Software Institute is situated. The institute provides for travel expenses and an internationally competitive stipend. The working language at the institute is English.
