Intern in Software Engineering

The IMDEA Software Institute (Madrid, Spain) invites applications for a research internship in the area of Software engineering. The successful candidate will work with Alessandra Gorla.

The proposed internship consists in studying how software developers produce incorrect or incomplete bug fixes for their project, and evaluate how generative AI can help this in this task.

Who should apply?

Applicants should be B.Sc. or M.Sc. in computer science or a related discipline. Knowledge of programming is required (ideally in C, C++. Java and Python) as well as a strong commitment to research.

Good command of English both spoken and written is also required.

Working at IMDEA Software

Located in the Montegancedo Science and Technology Park, it perfectly combines the sunny and vibrant city of Madrid with cutting edge research and an inspiring working environment. The institute provides for travel expenses and an internationally competitive stipend. The working language at the institute is English.

Dates

The internship duration is intended to be for at least 3 months, and can be a part time job to be compatible with the duties of attending courses at university. The ideal starting period is early March 2024. The work schedule can be adapted to the needs of the selected candidate.
