On Thursday, April 10, the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities published the provisional resolution of the 2024 call for “Severo Ochoa Centres of Excellence” and “María de Maeztu Units of Excellence,” in which IMDEA Software has been recognized for the first time as a María de Maeztu Unit of Excellence.
This accreditation comes with a funding package of 2.25 million euros over the next four years, which will allow the institute to strengthen its scientific program, consolidate internal structures, and promote new international collaborations. It will also support the transfer of research outcomes to industry and society.
In addition, the call *includes support for the recruitment of 138 new researchers, who will be able to carry out their doctoral theses within the strategic research lines of the accredited centres and units.
For IMDEA Software, it is a great honor to be part of the national ecosystem of research excellence and to contribute to the future of science and technology. This recognition represents an opportunity to continue advancing scientific knowledge and to foster the return of research outcomes to society.
