On Wednesday, July 16, the 2024 Severo Ochoa Centers and María de Maeztu Units accreditation ceremony took place in Zaragoza.
The event, a key milestone for research in Spain, was presided over by Diana Morant, Minister of Science, Innovation and Universities, and Pilar Alegría, Minister of Education, Vocational Training and Sports. Representatives from centers and units of excellence also took part, along with José Manuel Fernández de Labastida, Director of the State Research Agency.
Representing IMDEA Software at the event were Manuel Hermenegildo, founding director; Manuel Carro, director; Antonio Fernández, deputy director; Juan Caballero, research professor; and Andrea Iannetta, head of human resources. Manuel Hermenegildo was the one who went on stage to receive the accreditation.
