The REDIMadrid and IMDEA Software team, consisting of César Sánchez, David Rincón, Alejandro Recio, Carlos de Higes (the full REDIMadrid team), and Roberto Lumbreras (Research Support Technical staff at IMDEA Software), attended the XXXIV RedIRIS Technical Conferences, held from June 22 to 25 at the Elviña Campus of the Universidade da Coruña (UDC).

The event, organized by RedIRIS, the Spanish academic network managed by Red.es and funded by the Ministry of Science and Innovation, brought together more than 400 professionals from the sector. The conferences began on Monday with meetings of the Working Groups, where REDIMadrid serves as co-chair of the IRIS-cuánticas working group, and continued over the following days with specialized workshops, roundtables, and demonstrations.

During the three days, current challenges of ICT infrastructures in research centers were analyzed, focusing on priority areas such as security and privacy, digital sovereignty, artificial intelligence, supercomputing, and quantum technologies.

In this edition, David Rincón, chief engineer of REDIMadrid, was involved in the organizing committee of the conferences, in addition to moderating the session block on Quantum Technologies.

The presence of the REDIMadrid team in this forum served to reinforce the exchange of experiences with other institutions and keep the IMDEA Software institute connected with the latest trends in the intelligent management and operation of services for the scientific community.
