A delegation of more than twenty Indian companies visited the IMDEA Software headquarters yesterday, Monday, July 13. The meeting is part of a schedule of visits to various innovation centers in the Community of Madrid, organized on the occasion of the official trip to Spain by the Indian Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal.
The delegation was led by Anant Swarup, Director General of FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry), alongside executives from companies in the technology, energy, and industrial sectors such as TCS, Krypton AI Technologies, PB Fintech, Aviconn Solutions, and RPG Group, among others. Manuel Carro and Antonio Fernández Anta, Director and Deputy Director of IMDEA Software, and María Alcaraz, General Manager of IMDEA Software, welcomed the representatives upon their arrival. The visit began with a tour of the institute’s facilities, where the visitors were able to see the workspace firsthand. This was followed by a brief presentation explaining the center’s model and its main current research lines.
At the end of the meeting, the delegation representatives presented a gift to the Director of IMDEA Software, Manuel Carro: a painting featuring traditional Indian art as a token of appreciation.
This visit, coordinated through the Embassy of India and the Spain Chamber of Commerce, serves to strengthen contacts with the Indian technology market and explore potential joint research projects in the future.
