Applications are invited for a PhD student position at the IMDEA Software Institute, Madrid, Spain.
The selected candidates will work under the supervision of Manuel Hermenegildo, Manuel Carro, Pedro López, José Francisco Morales.
The specific topic of the research will be determined based on the common interests of the candidate and the supervisor(s), within the priority area of techniques for combined static/dynamic analysis and verification of non-functional properties of programs, with special emphasis on energy consumption.
PhD candidates should have an excellent MSc or BSc degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related discipline, with an interest in the above areas, and a strong commitment to research. Solid background in logic, theoretical computer science, mathematics and formal methods will be highly valued, as well as proven programming skills. Good teamwork and communication skills, including excellent spoken and written English are also required.
The position is based in Madrid, Spain where the IMDEA Software Institute is located. Salaries are internationally competitive and include attractive conditions such as access to an excellent public healthcare system. The working language at the institute is English. Knowledge of Spanish is not required.
