Research internship in microarchitectural attacks and defenses

Applications are invited for one research internship position at the IMDEA Software Institute (Madrid, Spain).

Selected candidates will work with Marco Guarnieri on CPU microarchitectural attacks and defenses.

The specific topic of the research will be determined based on the common interests of the candidate and the supervisor.

Who should apply?

Ideal candidates should be final year bachelor or master students in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Mathematics with an interest in the aforementioned research topic.

Experience in the following areas is a plus:

Solid programming skills will be highly valued. The position requires good teamwork and communication skills, including excellent spoken and written English.

Dates

The internship duration is intended to be for 4-6 months (with some flexibility). The ideal starting period is summer/fall 2021.
