Applications are invited for a PhD student position at the IMDEA Software Institute in Madrid, Spain. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Alexey Gotsman on the design and implementation of consensus protocols for geo-replication environments.
Candidates should have a strong background in computer science, with particular expertise in distributed systems and distributed computing theory.
The positions are intended to last for the duration of the doctoral studies, which is usually four years.
The position is based in Madrid, Spain, where the IMDEA Software Institute is situated. The institute provides for travel expenses and an internationally competitive stipend. The working language at the institute is English.
