Description
The IMDEA Software Institute seeks a human resources specialist to join the Human Resources Department.
The tasks to be carried out will be, among others:
- Employee Life Cycle & HR Support:
- Monitoring monthly payroll preparation and social security affiliation and
discharge of the Institute’s staff.
- Acting as liaison with the administrative office in HR-related issues.
- Preparing all documentation for employee registration.
- Managing the full employee life cycle, including attraction, onboarding,
retention, engagement, performance, recognition, career development, and
offboarding.
- Providing day-to-day support and guidance to employees and managers with
end-to-end HR-related queries and processes.
- Following up on the recruiting processes and being part of the selection committees.
- Advising on HR policies, procedures, and administration.
- Employment Law, Employee Relations & Compliance:
- Providing advice and expertise in local employment law and practices.
- Supporting the General Manager in continuously managing employee relation
cases and reviewing the company’s people processes, implementing them, and
ensuring compliance across the board.
- Assuring compliance with regulations related to human resource issues.
- Continually working to better our processes, spotting areas we can improve
to drive our function forward.
- Monitoring the compliance with the Gender Equality Plan and any other applicable procedure.
- HR Documentation and Employee Data Management:
- Keeping employees’ records up to date.
- Preparing HR documentation and files, and implementing and maintaining the HR systems.
- Other:
- Assisting in organizing employer branding initiatives.
- Designing strategies to build an environment to attract and retain the best talent.
- Fostering the implementation of human resources policies of top-level
international research centers.
Requirements
Candidates should meet the following requirements:
- Degree in Law, Labour Relations, ADE, or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of proven experience in a human resources department in a
multicultural organization carrying out tasks like the ones described above.
- At least B2 level in English speaking, writing, and reading.
- Fluent in Spanish speaking, writing, and reading.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office tools.
The following are desirable qualifications:
- Experience working in a research center.
- Experience with the implementation of international best practices in human
resources management (e.g., HRS4R).
- Experience using version control systems (e.g., Subversion and/or Git).
- Proactive.
- Highly organized.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure.
- Capable team player.
