The IMDEA Software Institute (Madrid, Spain) invites applications for an intern (student) position. The successful candidate will work in collaboration with Juan José Moreno, senior researcher.
The Project Scientist will be integrated into the research team of the Impact of AI for Public Policies project (CPP2023-010455). The project explores technologies, resources, infrastructures and surveys for improving the adequate presence and exploitation of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence in Spanish Public Administration, in cooperation with a multidisciplinary team of private companies, universities and research centers.
The candidate will help the activities of the different research team members and actively contribute to the development of software solutions for collecting data across the project and the development of the documentation/deliverables of the project. This includes contributions on aspects like Data Spaces, Infrastructures for the management and exploitation of data, Life cycle of AI and public policy cycle, Present and future of the development of AI as a technological solution for public policies and management, Disruptive and emerging technologies in public management, Technological foresight.
The development of project activities will be fully compatible with student’s commitments (exams, practices, lectures, etc.)
Candidate profile is a final year student of a degree in computer science or similar with knowledge and skills comprising:
The positions are based in Madrid, Spain, where the IMDEA Software Institute is situated. Salaries are internationally competitive. The working language at the institute is English.
The starting date is as soon as the selection process is completed.
