Applications are invited to apply for a PhD position in cyber security at the IMDEA Software Institute, Madrid, Spain. Selected candidates will work with Dr. Juan Caballero on one of the following topics to be decided based on the candidate’s interests:
All research topics are application-focused and will involve a combination of data collection, data analysis, and prototype development.
Ideal candidates have earned (or are in their last year of) a Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, have a strong commitment to research, enjoy coding, and have some experience and interest in at least one of the following: computer security, software engineering, data analysis, machine learning, natural language processing.
Good programming and tool building skills are required. Good command of English both spoken and written is also required.

The position will cover the whole duration of the doctoral studies. The ideal starting period is January 2025 with flexibility.
